Living with music in the heart

Biography

Anton Fedorov – Music Producer and Mix Engineer Based in Ukraine.

Anton’s journey into music began in early childhood when his grandfather, a piano player, would sit him on his lap and play his favorite melodies.

From that moment, his interest in music grew in many forms. By the age of 12, what had started as curiosity blossomed into a passion. Anton began studying guitar at a local music school. However, he was equally captivated by popular music and film scoring (even though he didn’t yet know the term for it). From his very first days at music school, he dreamed not only of playing music but also of composing it.

Anton’s desire to write music was so strong that, even with only an elementary understanding of music, he attempted to compose his own pieces. He constantly sought guidance from his teachers, asking how to create original compositions. However, he quickly realized that while many musicians possessed theoretical knowledge and performance skills, they often lacked practical insight into the art of composition.

In 2002, after three years of studying basic music theory, Anton felt disillusioned. His formal education still hadn’t answered his burning question: How do I create music of my own? Determined to pursue real-world practice, he realized that for him, true progress meant not just playing music but composing it. He decided to forge his own path, relying on self-study and experimentation.

That same year, Anton was introduced to computer programs like Cubase SX and Propellerhead Reason, which opened an incredible new world for him. Drum machines, virtual instruments, MIDI tracks, and the fascinating process of arranging music captured his imagination.

The combination of music theory and the practical tools provided by computer-based composition was exactly what Anton had been searching for, even if he hadn’t known it at the time. He began composing music for himself and his friends, as well as mixing tracks.

Collaborations with artists in urban and electronic music played a significant role in shaping Anton’s style. His sound, influenced by blues and soul, developed a melodic character while staying bold and modern due to the impact of top electronic producers of the time. His growing expertise in music production and mixing allowed him to refine his sound quality and meet the commercial standards of the music industry.

However, something was missing. Anton couldn’t shake the desire to compose cues for TV projects. It was clear to him that he needed to take the next step in his journey.

In 2012, Anton began exploring royalty-free music markets. However, he grew frustrated with the depreciation of music on these platforms and sought opportunities elsewhere. This led him to collaborate with production libraries, sync agencies and labels that publish music for TV shows and movie trailers.

In 2021, Anton’s music was featured in the documentary film about nature and wildlife conservation, “Eating Our Way to Extinction.” The film premiered in cinemas in Ireland and England in the fall of 2021 and was later released in Brazil and other Latin American countries in 2022.
The voiceover was narrated by Academy Award winner Kate Winslet, and the film’s promotional campaign featured prominent figures such as Tony Robbins and Paul McCartney.
Eating Our Way to Extinction achieved significant recognition, reaching second place in the “Documentary Film” category on iTunes US and fourth place on the “Documentary Best-Sellers Chart” on Google Play.

Over the past eight years, Anton has contributed to more than 200 production music albums, with many companies incorporating his music into their projects, including Huawei, Hyundai, TP-Link, The New York Times, and others.
Anton is now preparing to release his first solo album with one of the industry’s leading labels.
